Confident use of Basic Life Support (BLS) and use of an AED or defib can save lives.
According to the British Heart Foundation (BHF), ‘Heart and circulatory diseases cause more than a quarter (27 per cent) of all deaths in the UK; that’s nearly 170,000 deaths each year – an average of 460 people each day or one death every three minutes. Around 44,000 people under the age of 75 in the UK die from heart and circulatory diseases each year’.
We will teach you the basics in this half day course will enable you to intervene and improve the chances of survival outside of the hospital. If you can keep a heart going it means that the specialists can do so much more. You will leave our course feeling more confident and knowledgeable in Basic Life Support (BLS) including using an AED (defib).
Our trainers are NUCO approved to certify you for First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid, and Automatic External Defibrillation (AED) and Basic Life Support (BLS) through the First Aid Awards. RAS: Risk Advisory Service can also provide First Aid services for your events.
